Lila, I never thought I would see the day
That I would be your Mom.
I hoped, I wished and prayed for you,
And now I am holding you in my arms.
There was a very special woman
That led me to my dream that is you.
She lived far away in India,
A place I hope we will someday travel back to.
She showed me that people can be unselfish
And helped me fulfill my dream.
I hope someday you can comprehend
What all of this really means.
Because of her I now know gratitude
and unconditional love.
I am forever changed, a new woman.
Now fulfilling a role I had once dreamt of.

This Mother's Day was very special for me because I was able to send you flowers and a card in honor of your first Mother's Day. Now and forever everyday will be mother's day for you.
