Retrieval Update

Dr. Patel got 15 eggs yesterday, of which 12 are "excellent" quality. I am still pretty sore, but my mobility has greatly improved since yesterday. B has been an angel. He has been taking very, very good care of me. Tomorrow we will find out how many fertilized and which day they are going to transfer the embryos to our surrogate.

I just read your blog and want to say thanks for writing it! I just started a blog myself a few days ago on our gestational surrogacy experience. We are working with an agency here in the states and were matched back in April with a (wonderful) gestational carrier. I start Lupron next week - estimated retrieval date is mid-August. I have done IVF before, so I know the drill, but it's so different doing this with another party involved. I know how stressful all of this must have been for you, let along traveling so far to do it! So thank you for writing about it, it's nice to know my husband and I are not alone - I appreciate you sharing your experience!
